Departures to and from Schiermonnikoog
On weekdays, the ferry departs five times a day from Lauwersoog to Schiermonnikoog and vice versa. On Sundays and public holidays, this schedule reduces to four times a day. During busy holiday periods, there are additional sailings to and from the island. Apart from the regular ferry service, which takes approximately 45 minutes for the crossing, there is also a fast service. This journey takes only 20 minutes, but an additional surcharge applies for the fast service.
During the regular ferry service, taxis and buses are available to take you to your rented holiday home. This might not always be the case with the fast service, so you may need to order a taxi upon arrival if necessary.
